Especially for the dark days, De Laatste Winkel is opening a Pop-Up Workshop. The doors of what some consider to be a magical space will open, and you can come and create and play with the sense and nonsense of our sacred purchases.
Here, we believe in a market that can be shaped. One that can still be changed. And that doesn't necessarily have to involve struggle, debate, and different camps. Here, you can work together, cozy, and offline to destroy capitalism, product by product, homemade, immaterial advertising brochure by advertising brochure.
Of course, there are all sorts of things that aren't as we'd like them to be. And while systems are big, you're small. But they stem from us. From our needs. Even if this market can't always meet them. That's why we're gathering what you're still missing here and creating it. Impossible? Probably. Stupid? Definitely. Nonsensical? That's definitely a possibility. Is it still more satisfying than doing nothing or scrolling through data centers on your phone? Yes. Play with it. Make something of it.
Magical? In her intentions, certainly. And we won't reveal anything else, but every now and then...
Come in for a walk-in introduction (€15, pay-what-you-make) , take a workshop, create your own intangible product, or use the space as your temporary studio. It's also your last shop. Businesses, neighborhoods, groups of friends, and wandering souls can also book a workshop or meeting here.
In honor of
The Workshop of the Last Shop is in honor of those who occasionally remain silent and make something of themselves. Not shouting, talking without listening, and filling the space with words, whether considered or unconsidered, but picking up tools and getting started. Even when it seems pointless. Who do something, even when it seems the most senseless thing to do. There are people like that too. Even if you don't hear yourself. We've seen you. This one's for you.
